Hi All! Welcome is what you will hear as you walk through our door on a Saturday morning. Something our family can all agree on is our passion for seeing beauty in everything. Inside these stone walls you will find a mix of antique and vintage items that have been repurposed and refinished combined with beautiful new home accents to create a feeling of warmth and coziness in the shop. Our true passion, hope, and prayer for each person who walks through our door is to find a sense of peace and joy as they browse and have chats with friends. We hope you come as a friend but leave feeling like family.
Who We Are
Behind the Name
Many people ask about our name. Like many things in life, it has changed and evolved into even more than it started. Like most women can relate, as a stay at home mom and an army wife, I caught myself feeling lost. Life threw some curve balls at us but through the storm, came Found 31. Found is from, like myself at times wondering around lost, finding lost and forgotten items and bringing light back into them. The number 31 is from Proverbs 31. That passage in scripture got myself through some tough times as a mom and wife so it has a special place in my heart. She set the bar high but if you don't dream big, what's the point? God has shaped the name in so many different ways over our almost 5 years of being a small business! Found 31 has brought so much into my own life through customers that became friends and now feel like family.
Behind the Scenes
This is truly 100% family owned. People say it takes an army to raise kids. In fact it does, I know from experience with my own military families that became our family and helped me along the way as a young mama. Well it also takes an army to have a small business and I have the best one! The builder, David, my husband, is a huge asset to FOUND 31. He takes my ideas for the shop and runs with them. Sometimes the wrong way, but hey, that's what makes us a great team. Our boys unpack merchandise and break down all the packaging. If you have a small business, you know this is no easy task. The girls help with design, checkout, and more! When people say who does your mailings, cleaning, lawn work, pricing, designing the shop, carpentry work, displays...we do. Our little unit! Best part of being retired is being in our home state. Multiple times, my mama (where I saw first hand the importance of making a house a home) and my sister (my biggest fan and supporter) have shown up and pitched in! When this shop gets a total flip, my besties from childhood show up with elf outfits and food to help calm my nerves and get the shop ready! It takes an army and I have the best unit!
Behind the Counter
Hi All! Welcome! Is a saying I pray you hear every time you enter our doors. My middle daughter, Annabelle, has really grown into the greeter position. Her smile is contagious. Come on in, you will know what I mean! She is learning and growing daily in her own entrepreneurship roles. We have been blessed to meet amazing people through this shop. From opening, where we knew one person in this town, our realtor, to truly building friendships that have evolved into family, we are blessed beyond measure. Years later, we have trusted friends, not employees, that jump in when we have kiddos events that pop up on Saturdays.
